JANUARY
Student of the Month: Taylor McAlpine

Sensei Dylan and Sensei Gemma were reselected onto the KUGB England Squad for their ninth and seventh years respectively.
FEBRUARY
Student of the Month: Alex Lazenby
​
Sensei Dylan and Sensei Gemma competed in the KUGB Grand Slam, the final competition before the lockdown started.
MARCH
We spent the month preparing for our upcoming grading with Sensei Frank Brennan, 8th Dan which unfortunately ended up cancelled due to the start of the Covid lockdown.
APRIL
We moved our classes online onto Zoom throughout the lockdown.

All profits from the first class on Zoom were donated to CRY, a favourite charity of Sensei Bob Poynton, who sadly passed away the month before.
MAY
We continued with our online classes on Zoom throughout the lockdown.
JUNE
As Covid restrictions started to ease, we started outdoor classes to go alongside our online classes, as well as a new beginner class outdoors.
JULY
Student of the Month: Hannah Bowart

After sixteen weeks of online training and six weeks of outdoor training, we returned indoors to the Isabella Centre towards the end of the month.
AUGUST
Student of the Month: Kye McGowan

We held our first grading to be hosted at the club ourselves with Sensei John Holdsworth, 6th Dan and Sensei Julie Nicholson, 6th Dan.
SEPTEMBER
OCTOBER

We opened our Wednesday and Friday classes, increasing our training to three nights a week.
NOVEMBER

As we entered another lockdown, we returned to Zoom training for the month.

Sensei Dylan and Sensei Gemma trained on the KUGB's first Brown and Black Belt Course on Zoom with Sensei Andy Sherry and Sensei Frank Brennan.

We held a grading with Sensei John Holdsworth, 6th Dan and Sensei Julie Nicholson, 6th Dan.
