14th Annual Karate on the Beach
Sunday 19th June 2022 - SPECIAL JUBILEE EVENT
In 2022, on the 14th annual event, we celebrated the Queen's Platinum Jubilee by providing all students who attended the event and pay their class fee with a free lunch and t-shirt. This was thanks to funding provided by the Northumberland County Council Queen's Jubilee Fund and the Poundland Foundation.

Date for 2023 to be announced soon.
Karate Session
The day starts with a Karate session on the beach which is taught by club instructors Sensei Dylan Gibson, 3rd Dan and Sensei Gemma Gibson, 3rd Dan. Sensei Dylan has been teaching the event every year since 2013 and Sensei Gemma has been teaching the event every year since 2015.

The event allows students from Karate clubs across Blyth, Cramlington and Ashington to come together to train. The training takes place regardless of the weather, and we have had both sunny days and rainy days over the years!
Lunch & Fun and Games
Following the training, students come together for lunch from Coastline Fish Shop outside of the Beach Huts which is then followed by a fun and games session which includes games and team building activities such as rounders, relay races, egg and spoon, sack races, goal scoring, limbo and gladiators.
